Production Method / How we make it
- We keep the bee-breeding boxes in our farms where Italian bees (Apis Mellifera) form honeycombs.
- The honey is extracted after removing the wax from the frames.
- The honey is then filtered using cotton-cloth.
Important Facts
- No chemicals are used.
- We spray cow-urine (gau-mutra) to keep the bee-breeding boxes infection-free.
- We do not extract honey during extreme weather.
- We feed the bees with coconut water, sugar-cane juice, sweet-fruits, and other natural sweet products.
- We extract only 50% honey from each box, and leave the rest for the bees.
- We collect only 1 to 3 kgs of honey per month from each box.
Interesting Facts
- The bees never sleep.
- They flutter their wings about 200 times per second.
- One bee produces just a small spoonful honey in its lifetime.
